We landed in LAX at 9am [thanks for picking us up, Chris!] and by noon we were already grabbing caffeine before our 1pm lunch reservation. Our friends’ place is inside the Fairfax – La Brea – Melrose – Beverly ‘cube’ so we’re allowed quite the options when it comes to food and drinks. We like Graffiti for coffee; it isn’t our first time here. Given that the place is outfitted for staying a while, we just grab and go as we’re usually off to the next thang that we’re on to. You know, that new thang. In this case, it was Gracias Madre. If you want to stay a little longer, you should. It’s lofty and open, plus you get free wifi when you buy a drink. It’s made out to be like a working space slash art gallery. I’ve left a piece here, along with my iced almond milk latte, for your own interpretation…
